Interior Trim

Have you ever wondered how you can increase the value of your home on the inside, but don’t know where to start? One place you can start by is adding custom molding to your home.  Some easy and common examples are installing crown molding to a room.  That is just one simple type of molding you can add.  Below are other types of molding you can add to any room.  This is where Power House can make a difference.  We can help guide you in making the right decision for your home.

  • Crown Molding
  • Chair Rail
  • Larger baseboard with base cap
  • Wainscoting
  • Picture Molding
  • Large Door/Window Casing

These are just a few examples of what types of moldings Power House can install in the interior of your home.  Once you choose what type of molding you want to install, there are several sizes and designs per each choice.  We will walk you through your options and let you know what will look best for your home.  Another big difference with our company is once you have made all of the final design decisions, a professional carpenter will install the molding of choice.  Once the installation is complete, we will have professional painters on staff to properly putty, paint or stain the finished wood.

Exterior Trim

Replacing exterior trim may not be as much fun as replacing your interior trim, but it can be just as important if not more important than the replacement of interior trim.  The three main reasons we replace exterior wood trim is 1) it is rotten, 2) carpenter bee damage or 3) termite damage.  All three of these are reasons you are going to want to replace it as soon as possible before more damage is caused.

When replacing your exterior trim, you have two options: you can replace the exterior trim with wood or PVC.  Wood is the most affordable option, but it has the possibility of future damage.  We strongly recommend replacing with PVC if you have that option. The cost upfront is more, but the longevity of the material is truly worth the cost.  When it comes to replacing exterior trim, a majority of the work is completed on ladders.  This can make it dangerous for homeowners who do not have the ladder experience to safely complete the project.  When hiring our company, you are hiring professional carpenters to replace the trim work properly and it will ensure your family’s safety and future.
